Welcome to the Joy of Joey Cookbook site
Joey Perri is a special little boy, who was born with an unknown, rare disease of the brain. Despite extensive testing, doctors have not been able to attach a diagnosis to Joey's condition. At this point, Joey's parents have been told that there is no cure for his condition, and that technology is not advanced enough to pinpoint the root cause.This nameless disease has rendered him blind and developmentally the equivalent of a newborn.
In spite of his condition, Joey continues to inspire and bring JOY to all who know him.
The friends and family of Joey have collaborated on this Cookbook to help give back to this extraordinary little boy. All proceeds (net of cost) will go to SE Pennsylvania Easter Seals (Joey’s local chapter), Firely Pediatric Services (Joey’s nursing provider) and to a Trust set up in Joey’s name. Joey's parents, Keri and Stephen, have graciously agreed to the project which we hope will be a legacy of treasured recipes from family and friends.
